Gold rate today: Gold prices stayed high on Wednesday, August 26, as the precious metal continued its strong run over the past week. Bullion.co.in said that 24K gold was at Rs 1,63,430 per 10 grams and 22K gold at Rs 1,49,811 per 10 grams at 6:30 am on Wednesday.
Gold has given strong results over the last year. 24K gold has risen 3.18% in the past week alone and is up 61.4% in the past year; the bullion market is still strong.
Silver prices have also remained firm. Silver 999 fine was at Rs 2,45,540 per kg, while 925 sterling silver was at Rs 2,27,125 per kg.

The national reference price for 24K gold was Rs 1,63,430 per 10 grams on August 26.
Meanwhile, 22K gold is Rs 1,49,811 per 10 grams.

The price of 999 fine silver was Rs 2,45,540 per kg on Wednesday, while 925 sterling silver was Rs 2,27,125 per kg.
Silver 999 fine has increased 3.24% in the past week and nearly 111% in the past year, which is an exceptionally good performance compared to the same period last year.
