What should Gold Buyers know?
The price of gold has increased drastically in recent years, and its price could cause consumers to consider the timing of buying jewellery for weddings or festivals. For retail jewellery prices, such as that quoted, bullion prices can be higher than the bullion rates because there are making charges, taxes and other costs that are incurred.
Gold prices, on the other hand, can change considerably during the trading day in terms of international gold prices, currency movements, interest rate expectations, geopolitical developments and domestic market conditions.
The quoted rates are indicative and may vary between jewellers and locations. Before purchasing, the customer should check with their jeweller the latest price.
Gold and silver prices will be in focus
Both precious metals are closely watched by Indian investors, with gold rising nearly 62% in the past year and silver even faster at a rate of nearly 112 percent a year. The good price growth is also giving gold more exposure as a portfolio diversification and wealth-preservation asset.
On August 24, Chennai was the costliest among the major cities for gold and silver, and Delhi had the lowest price. Global and domestic market influences will continue to affect precious metals, and prices will be watched closely in the next few days.
